1908—Mattie Crawford is running her school in a cottage at Till’s Hill

1919—Founds, with Edith Crawford, Rev. Rufus Stovell and Adele Tucker, the Bermuda Union of Teachers

1928—Mattie and Edith Crawford move their two schools to new premises on Glebe Road.

1931—The new Central School is officially opened and Mattie Crawford is one of three assistant head teachers, or deputy principals

December 1942—Takes early retirement at age 63.

1948—Dies at age 69.
